Crime Stoppers Extends Film Weekend
Citing “the high demand for the virtual screenings,” Crime Stoppers has extended some of this year’s Oscar Nominated & Winning films.
A spokesperson said, “The Annual Crime Stoppers Bermuda Film Weekend is always a success, and this year the Virtual Festival proved no different!
“Due to the high demand for the virtual screenings, Crime Stoppers has extended some of this year’s Oscar Nominated & Winning films.
“The following films will be available for screening until Sunday May 2nd, 2021:
- 1. The Father: Nominated Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay – Academy Awards 2021. Nominated Best Film, Best British Film, Best Actor, Best Adapted Screenplay – BAFTA Film Awards 2021.
- 2. Oscar- Nominated Shorts 2021: Animated
- Disney-Pixar’s Burrow [USA]
- Genius Loci [France]
- Opera [USA]
- If Anything Happens I Love You [USA]
- Yes-People [Iceland]
- 3. Oscar-Nominated Shorts 2021: Documentary
- A Love Song for Latasha [USA]
- Do Not Split [USA/Norway]
- Hunger Ward [USA]
- Colette [France/Germany/USA]
- 4. Oscar- Nominates Shorts 2021: Live-Action
- The Present [Palestine]
- Feeling Through [USA]
- Two Distant Strangers [USA]

“For the fourth consecutive year, Andrew Stoneham has chosen to screen the films that have won their category including Best Film. The following Oscar winning films were shown at this year’s Virtual Film Weekend:
