Shiona Turini has been featured on the cover of the The New York Times’ T Magazine along with Daniel Kaluuya, Lena Waithe, Melina Matsoukas, William Hazel, Alisa Reynolds, and Cynthia Eriv, with the NYT calling them “a wide-ranging group of talents who’ve made a point of championing one another, and of helping to pave the way for the next generation of Black creatives.”
Speaking about the T Magazine cover, Ms. Turini posted the photos below on social media, saying, “Found Family // Thank you @tmagazine for celebrating a few of the friends I get to call family. The people who got me thru an incredibly tough year.
“The people I got to laugh with, cry with, launch taco businesses with. Who housed me and loved me. I’m so glad they are mine. And so honored to be on a cover with them.”
