Adam Hall & Aberdeen Lose To Wilmington

Adam Hall recorded his fifth RBI of the season, but he and his Aberdeen IronBirds teammates went down 5 – 4 in 10 innings against the Blue Rocks of Wilmington in a High-A East Minor League Baseball game.

Wilmington jumped out to a 2 – 0 lead in the top of the 1st. Aberdeen pulled a run back in the bottom of the 2nd, but Wilmington restored their two-run lead with a run in the 3rd.

Wilmington scored the game’s next run in the top of the 6th, but Aberdeen pulled within one with two runs in the bottom of the inning.

Aberdeen leveled the game at 4 – 4 with a single run in the bottom of the 8th. With neither team scoring in the 9th, the game needed an extra inning to decide a winner, with Wilmington scoring in the top of the 10th and denying Aberdeen in the bottom of the inning to earn the win.

Hall went 1 – 4 from the plate, with a hit, 1 RBI, and 3 strike outs.

Hall got Aberdeen on the board in the 2nd inning when he hit a single on a ground ball to right field to score Tody Welk, with Hall out at second base on the throw.
