Governor Lalgie Visits Outward Bound Facility

Governor Rena Lalgie visited the Outward Bound Facility on Paget Island yesterday [May 20] and said she “got a real sense of how the outdoor education programme fosters team building skills, enhance self-confidence and encourage creativity.”

Government House posted the photos below on social media, saying: “Yesterday afternoon Governor Lalgie was given a tour of the Outward Bound Facility on Paget Island by two former instructors: Commanding Officer for the Royal Bermuda Regiment, Lt Col Benjamin Beasley and Assistant Commissioner of Police, Martin Weekes.

“The Outward Bound programme is a positive collaboration between the Royal Bermuda Regiment and the Bermuda Police Service for the benefit of Bermuda’s youth.”

The Governor said, “Delighted that on my first trip out on Bermuda’s waters I got to hear more about Outward Bound Bermuda and the amazing opportunities that will once again be available for the middle school children. I got a real sense of how the outdoor education programme fosters team building skills, enhance self-confidence and encourage creativity.”
