Large Group Exemption:

Opening of the St. Regis Hotel & Resort

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Opening of the St. Regis Hotel & Resort is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than ten persons assembling;

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 [5] of those Regulations to Laura Purroy, permitting a group of more than 10 persons to assemble on Saturday, May 22, 2021, between 10:00 am and 12:00 pm, at the St Regis Resort, 34 Coot Pond Road, St. Georges GE 03 with the following conditions:

All persons attending the Opening of the St. Regis Resort must be in possession of a valid SafeKey QR Code issued by the Ministry of Health which will denote that persons have been fully immunised or have tested negative for the coronavirus in the last 72 hours.

Maximum number of attendees – 30 persons

Duration of Exemption: 9:30am – 12:00pm

Venue: St Regis Resort, 34 Coot Pond Road, St. Georges GE 03

Recording of names and contact information of persons attending the event for contact tracing. Information to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.

Adherence to all applicable Covid 19 Health Guidelines as published by the Ministry of Health.

The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted per section 5 [8] [b] of the Public Health [Covid 19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021.

The Bermuda Police Service / Ministry of National Security Officials have the right to attend and observe compliance with the conditions as prescribed above.

Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 Large Group Exemption:

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Mello and Faiella Wedding is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than ten persons assembling;

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 [5] of those Regulations to Madison Mello permitting a group of more than 10 persons to assemble Saturday, May 28, 2021, between 1:30 pm and 7:00 pm at The Ledgelets Cottage Collective, 6 Ledgelets Drive, Sandys Parish, with the following conditions:

  • Persons attending the Madison and Faiella Wedding must maintain appropriate physical distancing which is described as; maintaining a distance between all persons who are not of the same household of at least–
    • six feet; or
    • three feet provided each person is wearing a mask which completely covers their nose and mouth, and follow any relevant guidance.
  • Maximum number of attendees: 55 persons [includes officiant, 4 support staff, and a DJ]
  • Duration of exemption: 1:30 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Venue: The Ledgelets Cottage Collective, 6 Ledgelets Drive, Sandys Parish
  • Recording of names and contact information of persons attending for contact tracing. Information is to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.
