Road Closure In Warwick This Weekend

The Middle Road and Longford Road junction in Warwick will be closed on Saturday [May 29] through Sunday [May 30] due to trench work.

A spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the motoring public that BELCO’s trench work has reached the Middle Road and Longford Road junction and in order to crossover the trench work will require a road closure.

“This trench works will take place Saturday May 29nd, 2021 through Sunday May 30th, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm daily.

“Traffic controls will be under direction of BELCO and will be managed through traffic control signals & signage.

“The motoring public traveling west is advised to seek alternative routes via South Road and Harbour Road to avoid this trench work sections. Various detour routes signage will be placed as trench work progresses to the west.

“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.

“Should there be any questions regarding the BELCO trench works, please direct them to the attention Jonathan Pedro, Project Manager for BELCO at 295-5111 ext. 1441.”
