Augustus Finishes T26th In APGA New Orleans
Daniel Augustus was back on the Advocates Professional Golf Association [APGA] Tour competing in the APGA New Orleans at the New Orleans, TPC Louisiana Golf Course.
Augustus shot a second-round 2-over par 74, to come off the course T26th. The Bermudian golfer’s second round consisted of 5 birdies, 8 pars, 3 bogeys, and 2 double bogeys.
Augustus made a promising start with a birdie on the second hole after a par on the opening hole, but a bogey on the par 4 fourth, was followed by back-to-back double bogeys saw Augustus fall to 4-over par with three holes to play on the front nine. Augustus would then fight his way back, with back-to-back birdies, before closing out the front nine with a par.
Augustus once again looked to attack the back nine to get back into the round, but after back-to-back pars, he would hit back-to-back bogeys, Augustus was once again 4-over par, with six holes to play, Augustus began his fightback with birdies on the par 4 fifteenth and sixteenth to move to 2-over, Augustus would then finish off with back-to-back pars.
