Swimmers Win 17 More Medals In Bahamas

Members from the Harbour Swim Club and the Sharks Swim Club continued competing in the Bahamas National Swimming Championships in Nassau, winning an impressive total of 17 medals on the day.

Harbour

Sam Williamson got things started with a Gold Medal during the 15-17 Boys 400m IM clocking a time of 4:43.68.

During the 11-12 Girls 200m Freestyle, Ava Pedro picked up the Bronze Medal with a time of 2:25.34, while Arabella Newport Derbyshire finished 7th touching the wall in a time of 2:30.84, and Violet Smith finished 11th clocking 2:40.85.

In the 13-14 Boys 200m Freestyle Brandon Adkins finished 3rd picking up a Bronze Medal clocking 2:01.85, and Williamson picked up his second Gold Medal of the day winning the 15-17 Boys 200m Freestyle with a time of 1:57.36.

During the 11-12 Girls 50m Butterfly, Agathe Candillon clocked a time of 31.97 finishing 5th, Pedro finished 7th clocking 33.65 7th, and Newport Derbyshire finished 8th touching the wall in a time of 33.68.

A time of 30.78 saw Myeisha Sharrieff claim the 15-17 Girls 50m Butterfly Bronze Medal, while Caleb Ingham won the 15-17 Boys 50m Butterfly Bronze Medal with a time of 26.04.

In the 11-12 Girls 100m Backstroke Newport Derbyshire finished 4th with a time of 1:16.57, Violet Smith was 5th with a time of 1:16.96, Candillon finished 8th clocking 1:18.40, and Pedro finished 10th with a time of 1:19.29.

The Silver medal was claimed during the 13-14 Girls 100m Backstroke when Elena Pearman touched the wall in a time of 1:12.89, while Brandon Adkins won the Gold Medal in the 13-14 Boys 100m Backstroke with a time of 1:03.23.

Sharrieff won the 15-17 Girls 100m Backstroke Bronze Medal clocking a time of 1:11.01, while Emma Harvey claimed the Silver Medal during the 18 & Over Girls 100m Backstroke clocking a time of 1:05.37, and Jack Harvey won the Bronze Medal competing in the 15/17 Boys 100 Backstroke clocking a time of 59.51.

The Harbour 11-12 Girls 400 Medley Relay team of Violet Smith, Ava Pedro, Agathe Candillon, and Arabella Newport Derbyshire won the Silver medal clocking a time of 5:13.99.

Sharks

Swimmers competed in Timed Finals with Tayla Horan finishing 4th in the 15-17 Girls 800m Freestyle with a time of 10:14.51, while Brian Desmond finished with the Bronze medal in the 15-17 Boys 1500 Freestyle clocking a time of 18:18.94.

Marleigh Howes captured the 11-12 Girls 200m Freestyle Silver Medal with a time of 2:20.04, while Elanna Fulton finished 4th with a time of 2:27.36.

During the 13-14 Girls 200m Freestyle, Bella Howes won the Bronze Medal with a time of 2:17.53, while Daria Desmond finished 11th with a time of 2:28.04.

Taylor White won the 15-17 Girls 200m Freestyle Bronze Medal with a time of 2:16.66, while Tayla Horan finished 4th clocking 2:17.54, and Brian Desmond finished 5th in the 15-17 Boys 200m Freestyle with a time of 2:01.59.

In the 11-12 Girls 50m Butterfly, Marleigh Howes clocked 31.29 to finish 4th, while Fulton finished 6th with a time of 31.99.

Bella Howes finished 5th competing in the 13-14 Girls 50m Butterfly touching the wall in a time of 31.45, while Daria Desmond finished 10th clocking 33.54, Brian Desmond finished 10th competing in the 15-17 Boys 50m Butterfly touching the wall in a time of 28.52.

The 11-12 Girls 100m Backstroke Gold Medal was claimed by Marleigh Howes who touched the wall in a time of 1:13.95, while Elanna Fulton finished 7th clocking 1:18.22, and Taylor White finished the night off winning the 15-17 Girls 100m Backstroke Silver Medal clocking a time of 1:10.56.
