Dr. Douglas To Host Father’s Day Live Broadcast
In recognition of Father’s Day, Dr. Ty-Ron Douglas will be hosting the So Amazing Life Today pre-Father’s Day special broadcast at 6pm on Saturday [June 19], set to be live streamed online here on Bernews.
Dr. Douglas will partner with his dad Stan Douglas to once again host the online event. Last year, popular Bermudian father Dwayne Caines and recording artist Duawne Starling were guests during an inspiring and moving conversation.
This year’s pre-Father’s Day special promises to be equally powerful. Dr. Douglas has a couple of surprises for viewers this year, with an inspiring line up of participants, including former professional basketball player, father, and author Sullivan Phillips.
Dr. Douglas – a Bermudian author, professor, and Associate Athletic Director at the University of California, Berkeley – said, “This year’s theme has taken on an athletic connection with the inclusion of a couple of fathers who are also Bermudian sports legends. I anticipate that viewers will have moments to laugh, learn, and even cry as we celebrate fathers.”
The broadcast will begin at 6.00pm Bermuda time on Saturday, June 19th and will be streamed live on the Bernews YouTube and Facebook social media platforms, as well as the Dr. Ty Douglas YouTube channel.
“The event is free, however attendees are encouraged to pre-register and submit shout-outs for dads using the link here. Submitted shout outs will be eligible for inclusion during the live broadcast,” Dr Douglas said.
