BELCO congratulated George Fubler and Stevon Trott for completing the BELCO Apprenticeship Programme and being awarded Certificates of Completion from the Department of Workforce Development.

Apprentices are paid a full salary with benefits while studying overseas. During the programme, apprentices work in assigned departments to complete job cards, which are lists of tasks required to complete their training,” a spokesperson said.
“Prior to issuing the certificates, the National Training Board ensured that Mr. Fubler and Mr. Trott had successfully completed the BELCO Apprenticeship Programme and met the standard of proficiency required.
“This program is supervised by The Department of Workforce Development. Mr. Noel Cann is the assigned Training and Assessment Officer who met monthly with the Apprentices.
“Currently employed fulltime at BELCO, Mr. Fubler is now a Grade 1 Electrical Fitter and Mr. Trott is a Grade 1 Lineman.
“After completing their apprenticeships, other BELCO apprentices have become electricians, mechanical and/or environmental technicians, power and plant engineers, power system electricians, millwrights [mechanics], welders, and power linemen.
