Hall & Aberdeen IronBirds Pick Up Win
Adam Hall and his Aberdeen IronBirds Minor League Baseball teammates started a bit slow following several rainouts, but they got their bats going by picking up an 8 – 3 win in the series opener against the Hickory Crawdads, the High-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers.
Hickory went ahead in the top of the third inning with a single run, but in the bottom half of the inning, Aberdeen scored twice.
Hickory answered with two runs in the top of the fourth, but once again Aberdeen took the lead, scoring three times to take a 5 – 3 lead.
After two scoreless innings, Aberdeen scored three times in the seventh inning to extend their lead to 8 – 3.
Hall went 0 for 3 from the plate, with a walk and a strike out.
