Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 Large Group Exemption:

Dancesations’ Dance Recitals

The Minister of National Security considers that the proposed Dancesations’ Dance Recital is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in regulation 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under regulation 5 [5] of those Regulations to Holly Pacheo permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble on June 18th and June 19th, 2021 between 6:00 pm and 10:00 pm at Fort Hamilton, Happy Valley Road, Pembroke Parish, with the following conditions:

  • Persons attending the Dancesations’ Dance Recital must maintain appropriate physical distancing which is described as; maintaining a distance between all persons who are not members of the same household of at least –
    • six feet; or
    • three feet provided each person is wearing a mask which completely covers their nose and mouth
  • Maximum number of persons permitted to attend: 180 [100 patrons / 80 students and teachers] – per show [3 shows per night]
  • Security/ event marshals to be on duty at the event to ensure compliance with these conditions and applicable Public Health Regulations.
  • Name and contact details of persons attending the event to be recorded for contact tracing. Information is to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.
  • Adherence to all Public Health Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
  • The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted according to section 5 [8] [B] of the Public Health [COVID-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-opening] Regulations 2021.
  • The Bermuda Police Service or a Ministry of National Security Officer may attend the event and observe for compliance with these conditions.

The Bermuda Plan 2018 Notice 2021

WHEREAS The Minister of Home Affairs [“the Minister”] has caused a draft development plan entitled “The Draft Bermuda Plan 2018” to be prepared consisting of the Draft Bermuda Plan 2018 Planning Statement and Zoning Maps;

AND WHEREAS the Draft Bermuda Plan 2018 was declared operative on the 3rd day of December 2018;

AND WHEREAS objections and representations in respect of the Draft Bermuda Plan 2018 have been invited by the Minister and determined by the Objections Tribunal duly appointed for that purpose;

AND WHEREAS the Minister upon due consideration by him of the report of the Tribunal he deems it expedient to exercise in relation to the Draft Bermuda Plan 2018 the powers conferred upon him by section 11 [9] of the Development and Planning Act 1974;

NOW, THEREFORE, in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Minister by the said section 11 [9] of the Development and Planning Act 1974 and all other powers him hereunto enabling, the following NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that:-

  • This Notice may be cited as the Bermuda Plan 2018 Notice 2021

Bermuda Plan 2018 approval

  • The Bermuda Plan 2018 is HEREBY DECLARED to have been approved by resolution of the House of Assembly on the 4th day of June 2021 and the Senate on the 9th day of June 2021 pursuant to the provisions of section 11 [8] of the Development and Planning Act 1974 and shall become operative on the 9th day of June 2021.
