Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 Large Group Exemption:

CedarBridge Academy School Graduation

Whereas the Minister of National Security considers that the proposed CedarBride Academy School Graduation Ceremony is justifying an exemption from the prohibition in section 5 [1] and [2] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-Opening] Regulations 2021 on groups of more than fifty persons assembling;

Now, therefore, the Minister grants an exemption under section 5 [5] of those Regulations to Kenneth Ceasar – Principal of Cedarbridge Academy permitting a group of more than fifty persons to assemble on June 30th, 2021, between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm at the National Sports Centre, 65 Roberts Avenue, Devonshire Parish with the following conditions:

  • Persons attending the CedarBridge Academy Graduation Ceremony must be able to demonstrate that they are fully immunized or have tested negative for the coronavirus at least 3 days before June 30th, 2021. Use of the Safekey QR Code that is issued by the Ministry of Health will denote that persons have been fully immunized or have tested positive for the coronavirus in the past 72 hours.
  • Maximum number of persons permitted to attend: 700
  • Security/ event marshals to be on duty at the event to ensure compliance with these conditions and applicable Public Health Regulations.
  • Name and contact details of persons attending the event to be recorded for contact tracing. Information is to be retained for 28 days post-date of the event.
  • Adherence to all Public Health Guidelines issued by the Ministry of Health.
  • The Minister of National Security may at any time modify or revoke a group exemption granted according to section 5 [8] [B] of the Public Health [Covid-19 Emergency Powers] [Phased Re-opening] Regulations 2021.
  • The Bermuda Police Service or a Ministry of National Security Officer may attend the event and observe for compliance with these conditions.
