AFC Bournemouth To Receive “Substantial Fee”
AFC Bournemouth – Ajani Burchall‘s former club – will receive a “substantial undisclosed compensation fee” following the move of the 16-year-old Bermudian footballer to Aston Villa.
While the amount was not disclosed, the fact that the club referred to it as “substantial” indicates that Aston Villa saw great potential in the Bermudian footballer.
A statement from AFC Bournemouth said, “AFC Bournemouth will receive a substantial undisclosed compensation fee after teenager Ajani Burchall completed a move to Aston Villa.
“The 16-year-old became the third youngest player to turn out for AFC Bournemouth when he appeared in a league match last season.
“After being named in the matchday squad in the December fixture with Huddersfield Town, Burchall made his debut as a late substitute in the 5-0 win.
“Bermuda born, the teenage winger has come through the AFC Bournemouth Academy, playing through the younger age groups.
“Making the step up to the youth team, he played for the under-18s from the start of the 2020/21 campaign, becoming a consistent performer for Alan Connell’s side.”
