Tennis: Puerto Rico Defeat Bermuda In Panama
The Davis Cup by Rakuten Americas Group III event came to a close on Saturday, with Jamaica and Guatemala set to leave Panama City after earning promotion to Group II next year.
Bermuda — who has already won twice — took on Puerto Rico for 5th, and they were defeated 2 – 0.
Trey Mallory matched up against Inacio Garcia and lost in straight sets 6-4, 6-4. Tariq Simons lost to Quinton Vega in straight sets 6-4, 6-0.
The Bermuda Doubles pair of Gavin Manders and James Finnigan did not have to take to the court.
