Olympic Team: Flora Duffy & Dara Alizadeh

July 2, 2021

The Bermuda Olympic Association held a press conference this afternoon [July 2] to announce the Bermuda athletes for the Olympics, with triathlete Flora Duffy and rower Dara Alizadeh set to represent Bermuda at the Tokyo Olympics.

The team will be one of the smallest teams the island has fielded at the Summer Olympics Games and there was some controversy surrounding two swimmers, however on a positive note, Flora Duffy, who has won multiple world championships, is considered to be a medal contender.

The Olympics — which were originally set to be held in March 2020 but postponed due to the pandemic — are scheduled to be held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan.
