Guy Carpenter Selects Isabella Boonstra As Intern
Guy Carpenter announced today [Aug 31] the appointment of Isabella Boonstra as a summer intern to support its operations in Bermuda.
A spokesperson said, “Guy Carpenter, a leading global risk and reinsurance specialist and a business of Marsh McLennan, announced today the appointment of Isabella Boonstra as a summer intern to support its operations in Bermuda.
“Ms. Boonstra was part of the Marsh & Guy Carpenter’s week-long intensive internship program in 2020, where students learned about commercial [re]insurance and its different segments, including property, healthcare, professional liability, cyber and captives. Students also had the opportunity to interact with executives from both companies.”
Commenting on her selection, Jenni Rowntree Estis, Head of Operations and Senior Vice President of Broking at Guy Carpenter Bermuda, said: “Isabella was an attentive and eager participant, and those that met her at our firm found her to be very engaged during the rotation. We were delighted to be able to offer her an internship for summer 2021.”
Ms. Boonstra added: “While still in the early stages of my career, I have found a great passion for the reinsurance industry, and specifically broking. I am thoroughly enjoying this opportunity and the chance to learn new things every day. My colleagues have supported me tremendously and have shared useful tools and strategies for achieving high-quality execution. I look forward to furthering my career in the industry.”
A graduate of Suffield Academy in Connecticut, Ms. Boonstra is entering her senior year at Babson College in Wellesley, MA, where she is a business administration major.
