Jet Ski Towed After Engine Was Disabled

A jet ski — with two people onboard – was towed into Morgan’s Point after the engine was disabled and would not start

A Bermuda Maritime Operations Centre spokesperson said, “Saturday 7th August, 8:10pm. Bermuda Radio received a 911 call from an observant member of the public at Willowbank in Somerset, reporting a jet-ski upside down, with persons in the water nearby and hearing these persons shouting for help.

“RCC Bermuda quickly alerted the Bermuda Coastguard at Watford House who dispatched a unit to the scene, which was additionally reported by a person at West Side Road. The jet-ski was near the wreck of the HMS Vixen.

“Bermuda Coastguard arriving promptly scene found the persons onboard the jet-ski, and the engine was disabled and would not start. The two persons were safely accounted for and the jetski towed into Morgan’s Point.”
