Junior Tennis & Pickleball Tournament 2021
Pomander Gate Tennis Club and Butterfield & Vallis announced that the Highland Spring Junior Tennis & Pickleball Tournament will run from August 23rd to August 27th.
“The tournament, which was sadly cancelled last year due to Covid restrictions, will run from Monday, August 23rd to Friday, August 27th. The Tournament Committee voted to add Pickleball which is one of the fastest-growing youth sports in the US,” a spokesperson said.
“Entry forms are available at all tennis clubs and on the Pomander Gate Tennis Club website [www.pgtc.bm] Deadline for entries is noon on Tuesday, August 17th.
“There will be a green dot ball tournament for 10 & under players and Pickleball will have two categories 18 & under and 12 & under doubles.
“All tournament participants will receive a Highland Spring event cap and goodie bag. The prize giving will be held after the final match on Friday afternoon. There will be hot dogs, chips and cake for all participants and family.
“This event is sanctioned by the Bermuda Lawn Tennis Association.”
