Southampton Post Office To Temporarily Close

August 6, 2021

The Southampton Post Office will be “temporarily closed for extensive renovations from August 30th to early December 2021.”

A Government spokesperson said, “The much needed renovations include, but are not limited to, expansive floor repairs, plumbing upgrades and electrical work.

“The last day of business before closure will be Friday, 27 August between 8.00 AM to 4.00 PM.

“During the closure period, postal services for Southampton Post Office customers will be as follows:

  • Southampton [SN] PO Box mail and parcel mail will be available for collection from front counters services at the Warwick Post Office from Monday to Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM; and
  • Southampton letter mail [postal codes SN01-04] will continue to be delivered, as addressed, to customers by post persons from Monday to Friday.

“The Southampton Post Office thanks the public for their cooperation and patience during this renovation period, and apologises in advance for any inconvenience caused to businesses and residents in this postal area.”

So what happens if you use a Southampton post box and you can’t get to the Warwick post office between 8 am and 4 pm weekdays? Not much thought given to customer service here.
