A Government spokesperson said, “This change will enable the post office to serve the general public better and increase our customer service offerings, including the pick-up and delivery of express, parcel mail, and other related services.

“Customers who wish to collect their mail from the General Post Office on a Saturday must contact their local Post Office by noon Wednesday to request a transfer.”

Great idea. Now the staff can get time and half for doing nothing. What next? Delivering mail on time Monday to Friday?

Lol! I agree. Too lazy to get off their bikes and then blame it on a petty”obstruction”. Same with all government run jobs. Nothing new to see here. I can smell The incompetence form another planet with this kind of decision making

I’m not upset at Minister Furbert for suggesting this nor am I surprised. He has mastered the art of becoming a career politician and getting the taxpayer to pay his way. Anyone remember the last good idea he had, or one important policy or law that he introduced? Nope? Me either? Yet he is still getting paid. He is a genius! I’m just surprised that others within the party that actually try to make a difference and do for their community (like CF) watch him earn while they do the grunt work.

Does anyone actually use the Post Office enough for this to make any difference?

Just looks like an overtime opportunity paid for by, you guessed it, you and me.

Will Saturdays include the usual monosyllabic mumbling and sucking of teeth?
