Bermuda Cricket Board Covid-19 Update

A playing member of the Western Stars Sports Club tested positive for Covid-19 recently, the BCB confirmed, adding that “no games will take place this weekend.”

A spokesperson said, “The BCB wishes to bring to your attention, that a playing member of the Western Stars Sports Club, tested positive for Covid-19 recently.

“Due to the person having played over this past weekend, we urge that all teams that were present at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club on 5 September have their players and staff tested.

“We wish to stress that there is no indication that the said player contracted Covid-19 at Bailey’s Bay Cricket Club. We [BCB] are only ensuring that we notify all persons based on the Ministry of Health Covid-19 guidelines.

“In addition to the above, a Zoom meeting for all First Division clubs [only] will be held at 11:30 am tomorrow morning. Alll First Division team Presidents, Coaches, Captains and managers are asked to attend.

“Please be advised that no games will take place this weekend and that no training should be scheduled until further notice.”
