Bermuda Wins Twice, Tops Table & Advances
Following their two consecutive wins — which saw them win in dominant style scoring a total of 9 goals while conceding zero — the Bermuda U20 women’s football team emerged as the top team in their Group and qualified for the 2022 CWU20 Championship.
The event took place in Curacao, and the report from Concacaf said, “The final day of action in 2022 Concacaf Women’s Under-20 Championship Qualifying saw Bermuda and the Cayman Islands become the final two teams to punch their tickets to next year’s CWU20 Championship.
“Bermuda emerged as the top team in Group A and qualified for the 2022 CWU20 thanks to their 4-0 win over Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
“Jahni Simmons struck in the 24’ and 41’, before goals from Emily Cabral in the 53’ and Katherine Bean in the 75’ completed the clean sheet win for Bermuda.”
The team involved in this first class showing include Emily Cabral, Koa Goodchild, Jaden Masters, Katelyn Medeiros, CheChulae Dowling, Trinae Edwards, Samantha Davis, Camryn Lines, Ashley DaSilva, Danni Watson, Katherine Bean- Rosario, Samara Darrell, Zorena Anderson, Jahni Simmons, Jahde Simmons, Terrinae Trott, Satia Burchall, Robin-Valana Pearman, and K’Xyiae Gibbons.
