‘Covid Exposure’ At K Margaret Carter Centre
The Ministry has confirmed a “coronavirus exposure” at the K Margaret Carter Centre [KMCC], and said that “KMCC remains closed until a full risk assessment is completed.”
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Health’s Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit [ESU] is aware of a coronavirus exposure at the K Margaret Carter Centre [KMCC].
The Minister of Social Development and Seniors Tinee Furbert said, “The Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit [ESU] has advised that KMCC remains closed until a full risk assessment is completed. The entire facility has been deep cleaned and we will update stakeholders and the community once we receive additional information from the Department of Health.”
Minister Furbert concluded, “Lastly, each of us has a role to play in stopping the spread of the coronavirus. Please follow Public Health guidelines, wear a mask, practice good hand hygiene, maintain physical distance and download the WeHealth Bermuda App.”
The Ministry added, “All public health guidelines are listed at https://www.gov.bm/coronavirus.”
