Trench Work Continuing On Middle Road
BELCO’s ongoing trench work on Middle Road from George’s Bay Road is continuing towards Evans Bay Road in Southampton.
A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Public Works wishes to inform the public that BELCO’s ongoing trench work on Middle Road from George’s Bay Road is continuing towards Evans Bay Road in Southampton.
“The one lane closure on the eastbound lane is progressing towards Port Royal Gas station.
“The trench work will be ongoing through Friday, December 31st, 2021. Working hours will be from 7:30 am to 6:00 pm daily.
“Traffic controls will be under the direction of BELCO representatives and will be managed through traffic control signage.
“The Ministry of Public Works wishes to encourage the full cooperation of the public and apologizes for any inconvenience that may result.
“Should there be any questions regarding the BELCO trench works, please direct them to the attention of Mr. Jonathan Pedro, Project Manager for BELCO at 295-5111 ext. 1441. Any queries that are highway’s related should be directed to Mrs. Tina Beer-Searle, Acting Principal Highway’s Engineer for Ministry of Public Works at 501-3044.”

It’s horrible actually all the trenching is horrible. Contractors need to be held accountable or at least have some pride in there work..
Well it just matches the state of the rest of the island, wrecked and or stolen bikes laying around every where, trash and rats over grown debris.
