Video: Timeline Of Curfew Changes Since 2020

September 21, 2021

Since the Covid-19 pandemic began last year, the Bermuda Government has implemented curfews at various times in an effort to contain the spread of the virus, with the first curfew initially implemented back on March 29, 2020 and now reinstated as of September 17, 2021.

A curfew was in effect for April, May, June and most of July 2020, lifted for the summer of 2020, reinstated in December 2020, lifted for around two weeks in February 2021,  reinstated for March, April, May and most of June 2021, lifted for July and August 2020, and reinstated as of September 17, 2021.

The times of the curfew have fluctuated, ranging from 8pm – 6am to 12.30am – 5am, and a rough calculation shows we have been under curfew approximately, and please note this is an approximation, half of the time over the last 18 months.

The video below shows the timeline of the curfew changes in Bermuda since 2020, and you can read the curfew timeline — which links to the relevant article – here on the timeline page on our dedicated Covid-19 website BermudaCovid.com, which aims to document this unprecedented time for the historical record.
