Washington Lane Renovations Start This Month
Commencing mid-September, the City of Hamilton will be undertaking renovation works to Washington Lane which will involve the repaving of the lane and the installation of new lighting throughout.
A spokesperson said, “Works will conclude at the end of October. While the lane will remain open at all times, access to certain stores located along Washington Lane may be disrupted temporarily due to the works.
“Washington Lane is already a unique area in the City, with particularly high foot traffic,” said Assistant City Engineer Charles Waters. “Through this project we wanted to create a further point of interest along the lane with the addition of Bermudian artwork, thus making it an enduring pallet for artists to showcase their art.”
