Canadian Schools Offering Virtual Session
Eight post-secondary institutions will come together to offer a virtual ‘Study in Atlantic Canada’ session on Thursday [Oct 7].
A spokesperson said, “The pandemic will keep representatives from Atlantic Canadian colleges and universities from visiting Bermuda again this fall.”
Katherine Cross, visit coordinator and Assistant Registrar at Dalhousie University, said, “We will miss the opportunity to meet with students and parents in-person for the second year in a row.
“International recruitment travel remains suspended for most institutions for the remainder of the year, though we remain hopeful that our visits can resume in 2022.
“Technology has allowed institutions to get creative about connecting virtually and students can expect virtual school visits, events and advising meetings this fall.
“We continue to be fully committed to supporting Bermudian students interested in studying at our institutions and we are more accessible than ever.”
The spokesperson said, “Eight post-secondary institutions will come together to offer a virtual Study in Atlantic Canada session the evening of Thursday, October 7, 2021. The session will include an overview of study in the region, introductions from participating institutions, as well as information on immigration requirements from a Government of Canada representative.
“Following the formal session, attendees will have the opportunity to ask their questions. We look forward to connecting with students and parents from the comfort and safety of their homes.
“Participating institutions include Acadia University, Dalhousie University, Holland College, Mount Allison University, Mount Saint Vincent University, Saint Mary’s University, St. Francis Xavier University, and the University of Prince Edward Island.
