Public Cautioned About Email Scams Circulating

The Ministry of Labour is advising the public of two fake emails in circulation, one purporting to be from the Department of Financial Assistance and the other relating to Covid-19 status validation.

A Government spokesperson said, “The Ministry of Labour advises the public of two fake emails in circulation. One claims to be an offer of assistance from the Department of Financial Assistance. The other is a COVID-19 status validation request from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention [CDC] in partnership with the Government.

“If you receive or have received either of the following correspondence, please ignore and immediately delete:

“Email from aefoggo@northrock.bm with the subject line ‘New Grant -Bermuda Government’ that includes a link to ‘View Application Tutorial’.
Email from luciabotelho1@northrock.bm with the subject line “Your Covid-19 status”, which includes a link to ‘Validate Your Covid-19 status here’ that appears to be signed by ‘Health Care.’

“As a reminder, the Department of Financial Assistance does not notify individuals by email and there is no online process for applications at this time.

“With regard to matters relating to Covid-19, all official emails come from the Government of Bermuda COVID-19 Response Team at BermudaCovidVaccine@resqwest.com. You can also contact the Vaccine hotline on 444-2498 and select Option #2, or email vaccinecertificates@gov.bm.

“For more information on how to avoid internet scams and identify fake emails, please visit https://www.gov.bm/how-avoid-and-report-scams.”

    Care to give us an update on the gr8 wall of harbor road. What an embarrassment, been a couple weeks haven’t seen know one working there,except the guys getting paid over time to direct traffic. Outsource it, if you feel it necessary to keep the guys that sit in the trailer all day on the payroll leave them there.
    This has gone beyond pathetic.
    Guess it matches the the rest of the island so..
    If it was bitcoin wall would’ve been completed.
