Ball Hockey League: Appleby & Frontier Win
The Bermuda Ball Hockey Winter League continued with a double-header taking place at the PCC Hockey Rink, which saw 17 goals scored.
Liberty Mutual 5 Appleby 8
In the opener Appleby defeated Liberty Mutual 8 – 5, Nathan Kowalski led Appleby to victory with a hat-trick, while Deepak Popat and Andrew Kuzma both added two goals each, and Robert Rego added the other. Anthony Kapsimalis and Bill Mcclure scored two goals each for Liberty Mutual, with Paul Tohill scoring the other.
Frontier 4 BDA Spirits 0
In the nightcap Frontier defeated the BDA Spirits 4 – 0, Danny Hudson gave Frontier the lead early in the first period, midway through the period he doubled the lead.
Tom Miller made it 3 – 0 to Frontier when he found the back of the net in the third period, before Hudson completed his hat-trick with a late strike in the period.
