Caelin Peters Helps Connecticut College Win
Caelin Peters and his Connecticut College Men’s Basketball teammates dominated the United States Merchant Marine Academy, 79 – 57, in its season opener and first game at the Charles B. Luce Fieldhouse since hosting Tufts on February 8th, 2020.
Connecticut came out firing in the first half against the Mariners, Connecticut began to really pull away from the Mariners when freshman Peters drained a 3-pointer to bring its lead to 16 – 8, causing the Mariners to call a timeout to slow the Camels’ momentum. Although they battled back, by the half, Connecticut had kept their lead, 46 – 27.
Peters played 17 minutes of action, going 2 for 3 from behind the 3 point line for his 6 points, he had 2 assists, but he also had 3 turn overs and 2 personal fouls.
