Saltus & MSA Crowned Basketball Champions
Saltus Grammar School won the Bermuda School Sports Federation middle school boys basketball final, defeating Somersfield Academy 29-23.
Cruz Butterfield, the most valuable player [MVP] for Saltus, scored 15 points. Chaz Edmead and Harrison Estwanik each added 5 points for Saltus. Jace Davis, the MVP for Somersfield Academy, led all scorers with 16 points, and Jack Bull contributed 6 points for Somersfield.
In the girls’ final, Mount Saint Agnes Academy defended their middle school girls basketball title with a narrow 9-8 victory over Somersfield Academy.
Kyra Simmons, the MVP for MSA, scored 4 points. The MVP for Somersfield Academy also scored 4 points, and Kate Pursell added 3 for Somersfield.
