Harness Pony Racing Season Underway

[Updated with PDF] The 2021/22 Harness Pony Racing Season got underway at the National Equestrian Center.

It was an emotional start to the season as they paid tribute to Amber Bridges, with a moment of silence held in memory of all the Equestrian family members who passed since the last time they were at the track.

Racing got underway soon after with Reel Patrol with Andrea Westerfield in the bike clocking a winning time of 1:05&1 in the 1:03&4 & Faster Time Bar Class, while Tyler Lopes in the bike of Google Me finished second clocking 1:05&1, and Candyce Martins in the bike of Double Time finished third with a time of 1:05&2.

The second race of the day was in the 1:05&1 to 1:06 Flat Time Bar Class, Kiwon Waldron in the bike of Reign of Terror recorded a winning time of 1:07&2, Kirista Rabain in the bike of IC’s Overextended finished second in 1:07&3, while Catrina Stephens in the bike of Shady Maple finished third clocking 1:08&1.
