Lambe & Clemons Both Score For Stowmarket

November 28, 2021

Stowmarket Town played to a 6-1 victory over Barking FC, with both Reggie Lambe and Willie Clemons scoring for the team.

The club’s match report said, “Storm Arwen bought wet and very windy conditions to Mayesbrook Park where Stowmarket were in the mood to create a perfect storm of their own.

“With the Suffolk side attacking at every opportunity, it was Bermuda International Reggie Lambe who got the early break through with a low strike into Barking net. In form Striker Luke Brown not to be outdone found space in the box collecting a well-placed pass to put the visitors 0-2 up at halftime.

“The travelling fans sensing that there were more goals in this game weren’t going to disappointed as the other half of the Bermudian duo Willie Clemons sailed through the defence and expertly placed his shot into the home net. A well worked corner found Brown for his second of the afternoon. Darnell Goather-Braithwaite scored a consolation goal for Barking before Josh Mayhew who came on as sub immediately replied with a goal of his own, leaving Joe Jefford to complete the scoring for the impressive Stowmarket side.”
