Roderick Ferguson’s ‘Man Overboard’ Show

November 4, 2021 | 0 Comments

Bermudian Roderick Ferguson — who was involved in the court challenge about same sex marriage –  is getting set to present a show in New York City titled Man Overboard, offering a story of a “gay kid from Bermuda coming out in dramatic fashion, defining his own gay lifestyle, and eventually fighting a government in an LGBTQ rights battle.”

Mr. Ferguson’s website says, “Man Overboard!!! is the age old tale of a closeted gay kid from Bermuda coming out in dramatic fashion, defining his own gay lifestyle, and eventually fighting a government in an LGBTQ rights battle, but it’s told in a fresh new way!

“It’s an unforgivably autobiographical story but this isn’t therapy for him, or for you, though Roderick encourages you to seek help elsewhere. A story told well with lots of humor, a few songs, and a little drama.

“Directed by the incomparable Faith Prince, with musical direction and arrangements by Bobby Peaco, this show debuted with a splash at CabaretFest in Provincetown, MA in June 2021, and created a buzz in Boston in October. Now we’re on our way to NYC! Spread the word, but don’t tell my mother we’re doing this!”
