Christmas Boat Parade Traffic/Parking Advisory

The Ministry of Public Works issued a traffic notice/parking advisory due to the Christmas Boat Parade on Saturday evening,

A Government spokesperson said, “The following Order will be in effect from 6:00pm until 9:00pm on Saturday December 18th, 2021.

One Way Traffic

  • Harbour Road: Between Manse Road and Stowe Hill travelling in an easterly direction. Beware of construction site between Highwood Lane and Lover’s Lane
  • The Lane: Between Stowe Hill and North Roundabout in an easterly direction

Parking

  • Harbour Road: Parking will be permitted on the north side of Harbour Road between Manse Road and Lovers Lane. No parking permitted on construction site between Highwood Lane and 600 feet west of Lover’s Lane.

No Parking

  • Manse Road: Parking will not be permitted on either side of Manse Road
  • Chapel Road: Parking will not be permitted on either side of Chapel Road
  • Cavendish Road: Parking will not be permitted on either side of Cavendish Road

“Drivers are reminded of the provisions of section 13[4][i] of the Road Traffic Act 1947 which prohibits the parking of vehicles on sidewalks.

“In addition, the Bermuda Police Service are here by authorized to close off streets or portions of streets, restrict and authorize parking as the Commissioner of Police decides.”
