Nikki Bascome, Andre Lambe To Fight In January
[Written by Stephen Wright]
Nikki Bascome will make his long-awaited return to the boxing ring against Canadian Waseem El Sinawi at The Shed in Royal Naval Dockyard on January 29.
Bascome, 31, has been inactive since his unanimous points win over Englishman Ryan Oliver almost two years ago after having several bouts against wily Jamaican Devon Moncriffe cancelled because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
El Sinawi was knocked out by Moncriffe when the welterweight previously fought in June 2018. The 32-year-old has a record of two wins and three losses.
Bermudian southpaw Andre Lambe is also returning to action, facing Canadian Dylan McIlvenny on the professional undercard.
McIlvenny, 33, will make his boxing debut, having fought twice as a mixed martial artist, with a record of one win and one defeat.
Lambe, 26, has fought twice since turning professional, enjoying stoppage victories over Canadian Mat Hinchey in January 2020 and American Dominique Williams in Orlando, Florida, in July.
Tickets for the event, promoted by Epic Entertainment, are available at www.ptix.bm from Friday.
