Bermuda’s participation in the 2021 Junior Pan American Games continued in the sport of sailing, with Benn Smith and Adriana Penruddocke taking to the water.

Two races were sailed in some difficult conditions on a lake in Colombia; sailors launched and had to travel some 40 minutes to the course, but with no wind, sailors were made to wait for an additional 15 minutes, and when the winds did come in, conditions changed quickly.

Penruddocke had an impressive day, finishing fourth twice to come off the water in fourth place overall with eight points, currently sitting two points outside a medal spot, with four races to sail.

Smith came off the water in eighth place overall in the Men’s Division with 16 points. Smith sailed to a ninth place finish in the first race, before improving two spots in the second race.
