Over 20 Boats Expected In Christmas Parade
The ÜberVida Christmas Boat Parade will take place on Saturday evening [Dec 18], with 21 boats currently expected to take part in the festive event, which will be held in Hamilton Harbour.
The ÜberVida website said, “All boats are meeting up in front of the Hamilton Princess Hotel at 5:30pm ready for a 6:00pm start. The parade will cruise from the Hamilton Princess towards Front Street, Hamilton. Then around White’s Island, east along Harbour Road. until Darrell’s Wharf. Then north between Spectacle Island and Reid Island and back to Hamilton Princess. We will continue this route from 6:00pm-8:00pm.”
An ÜberVida spokesperson told Bernews that as of this time they have 21 boats, and added that “Bacardi has offered participants packages for each of the boats that are participating.”
“The Bermuda Coast Guard, Harbor Radio, Bermuda Police Service and Marine & Ports have been very supportive and helpful. We are extremely grateful to be able to organize this as a Covid safe community event,” a spokesperson said.
