Bermuda Public School 2022/2023 Registration

The Department of Education is advising the public of “registration procedures for the school year 2022/23.”

A Government spokesperson said, “The Department of Education will be utilizing the PowerSchool Online Enrolment which is a secure platform that allows parents/guardians to securely enter their child’s information into an online database.

“The online registration process will require both new and current parents to create an account. This allows you to securely save your work and come back at a later time if necessary.

“The registration period for Preschool and Primary School has been extended from 3 days to 3 weeks, opening on Friday, January 14 until February 4, 2022. Middle School registration will be open from Monday, January 17 until Wednesday, January 19.

“Senior School registration details will be announced later this month.

All Students Enrolling into Preschool and Primary School

“All preschool and primary school applicants begin by using their email address to create an account and sign-in to proceed through the online new student registration process.

“Parents should have the following supporting documentation available and ready to upload with the online application:

  • Copy of child’s birth certificate [no passports]
  • Copy of BELCO bill for verification of address
  • Documentation to support child’s diagnosis [if applicable]

“Parents interested in the Bright Start program should note that it will be held at the following preschools only: St. David’s Preschool, Victor Scott Preschool, Southampton Preschool, and Lagoon Park Preschool. The Bright Start Program will give priority to students who are a part of the Child Allowance Program with Financial Assistance.

Current Students Enrolling into Middle or Signature School

“Using the email address attached to the parent’s PowerSchool Parent Portal account, parents of students currently enrolled in P6 and M3 will receive an email from a PowerSchool email address.

“Parents begin by using the link in the email and create an account and sign-in to proceed through the online returning student registration. By using the link in your email, you are automatically entering your child’s snapcode [15 character alphanumeric code unique key] to your child’s returning student registration for the 2022/2023 school year.

“The attached covering letter will provide instructions and a snapcode that would assist parents to complete the online returning student registration.

Middle School Students Enrolling into BPSS

“Parents of students registering into the system will be required to complete the online application that is received to the parent’s email address.

“Applications received after the January 19th deadline for middle school and February 4th, deadline for preschool and primary will be considered late.

“Late applications may affect a child’s enrolment into parents’ school of choice, as late applications are not considered until after all on time applications have been processed.

“Parents who were unable to attend the virtual open houses can refer to the Bermuda Public Schools YouTube channel for a view of the schools of your choice. Should you have any questions pertaining to a respective school please feel free to contact the school directly.
