Bermuda Institute Moving To Remote Learning

January 18, 2022

Bermuda Institute is moving to remote learning starting tomorrow [Jan 19] until January 31 due to “a strain on staffing resources” and a “high number of student absences.”

A spokesperson said, “Bermuda Institute regrets to announce that effective tomorrow, Wednesday, January 19, 2022, we will move to remote learning for two weeks until January 31st. During this time, the school will undergo a deep cleaning in preparation for the return of our students.

“This closure though unwelcomed is due to a strain on staffing resources caused by the surge of the Omicron variant on our campus, and the high number of student absences.

“We are committed to ensure that regular instruction continues as scheduled for all students. The transition to remote learning will be a smooth one for us as our teachers are fully prepared to do so. Through it all, the health and safety of our students, as well as that of our teachers remain our top priority. It is our hope that we will be able to return to in-person quickly.

“If you have any questions, please contact our Principal, Mr. Wayne Edwards at 238-1566 or wedwards@bermudainstiute.bm.”

Pretty pathetic, its as if they don’t want to teach. Any excuse to cry off, while the rest of the world just gets on with it.
