One Gives Back: Prizes, Gift Cards & Donations
One Communications gave over $65,000 towards supporting local businesses, customers, and charity this holiday season after the company teamed up with over 30 retailers across the Island to reward customers for shopping local with 7,000 scratch and win cards during the month of December.
A spokesperson said, “When making a purchase at any of the One Communications retail stores/curbside, or any participating retail store, the customer received a card to scratch and win [as supplies lasted]. Prizes included an electric bike, TVs, a PS5, Smartphones, food and beverage items, gift cards to local retailers, and more.
“In addition, the Company donated toys and grocery vouchers to the Family Centre and volunteered at the Salvation Army and Cathedral feeding programs.
“In total:
- 1] $8,000 – in toys and grocery vouchers to Family Centre
- 2] 4,420 Food and Drink items
- 3] 1,244 – Gift cards to local businesses
- 4] Grand Prizes – Electric Bike, PS5, TVs, Smartphones
Frank Amaral, Chief Executive Officer of One Communications said, “We know this has been another tough year for the community and Bermuda economy and we wanted to ensure we gave back and encouraged everyone to shop local. We were very pleased to support our local businesses and charities as well as give back to our customers who support us year-round.”
