“The Bermuda Conference of Seventh-day Adventist has a significant legacy of community service which incorporates their weekly feeding programs at many of their churches along with a host of community-based programs and initiatives. This year with the generous contribution from Take Five Ltd. the Church was able to extend its Christmas feeding program beyond their Hamilton location to seven other locations across the island.
“The donation reflects an organizational effort and commitment to spread a little joy, with staff of Take Five Limited and a group of very generous private donors contributing towards the purchase of ingredients. To add a little flavor, the company’s chefs donated their time to cook and package the meals for distribution.”
Meisha Medford, the Head of Human Resources, said, “It’s truly an honor to give back to our community. We understand first hand that the last two years have been difficult. We felt a strong duty to give back where and how we could. While Christmas is the primary season of giving, we didn’t want to wait for December, and that is why the initiative was spread out throughout the year, with December being our largest meal donation.”
