Art Show ‘Landmarks’ Opening On Sunday

The Bermuda Arts Centre is hosting the opening of a show with the theme of ‘Landmarks’ at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse on Sunday [Feb 13].

A spokesperson said, “The Bermuda Arts Show is hosting an interesting art opening at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse this Sunday [February 13] by way of an open air gallery.

“The theme of the show is ‘Landmarks’ and we couldn’t think of a more perfect location to have our opening than at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, one of Bermuda’s most important landmarks. Work has been entered in all media and many interpretations.

“The Bermuda Plein Air Group will be in attendance. They will be capturing the lighthouse, the view, and the afternoon. One might fall in love with one of the paintings right off the easel.

“Enjoy our interesting show with a glass of wine. Admire the view and talk to the artists. It all makes for a fun afternoon with beautiful surroundings.

“The show will also be available online at artbermuda.com for those that can’t make it, but honestly, the fresh air, the beautiful work and our wonderful company will make you feel good. We promise!

“The show runs 12pm to 3:00pm at Gibbs Hill Lighthouse. After that, it will be available for viewing in the Bermuda Arts Centre until March 17.

“Should it rain, the show will be held at the same time but in the Bermuda Arts Centre [Dockyard].
