Basketball: Splash Brother & Young Goatz Win
The Bermuda Basketball Association’s Island Basketball League continued inside the CedarBridge Academy Gymnasium with a double-header that produced 227 points in the two matches.
In the opener, the Splash Brother defeated the Franchise 51 – 28. Jason Lowe was the top scorer for the Black Mambas with 18 points, while Ryan Rabain had a double-double with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Dwayne Caines led the Franchise with 10 points, Kevin Minors had 4 rebounds.
In the nightcap, the Young Goatz defeated the Black Mambas 88 – 60, Seward Smith led the Young Goatz in the scoring department with 16, while Kevin Stephens grabbed 6 rebounds, while Adam Correia scored 21 points for the Black Mambas, with Dion Easton recording a double-double with 20 points, and 13 rebounds.
