Four Bermuda Athletes Compete Indoors

Four Bermuda track athletes recently competed indoors, including three in the USA and one in the UK.

Stephan Dill, Mikal Dill & Inshan-Nae Smith

Three Bermuda athletes competed on day one of the CIAA Indoor Championships. Stephan Dill and Mikal Dill represented Johnson C. Smith University, while Inshan-Nae Smith represented Livingstone College.

During the men’s 60 meter dash preliminaries, Stephan Dill advanced to the final by clocking the fifth fastest time of 7.05. Dill also advanced to the men’s 200 meter dash final after finishing eighth with a time of 22.99 in the preliminaries.

Mikal Dill finished sixth in the men’s long jump with a top leap of 6.62m, which came on his sixth and final attempt.

Smith competed in the women’s high jump, finishing fourth with a top leap of 1.48m. She also competed in the women’s 200 meter dash preliminaries, finishing 17th with a time of 27.19.

Nirobi Smith-Mills

Nirobi Smith-Mills competed in the England Athletics Open Under 20 Indoor Championships.

Smith-Mills took to the track for heat one of the men’s 800m race, finishing fourth by clocking a time of 1:58.47, but missing out on a spot in the final.
