Official Notice Of Ministers & Responsibilities
The change in Ministerial responsibilities have been ‘officially’ assigned, with today’s official notices including a document on ‘Ministers and responsibilities assigned’, which details the adjustments in Cabinet Ministries, which have previously been announced by the Government.
The change in responsibilities follows after the resignation of the former Finance Minister Curtis Dickinson, and as it stands now, the size of the Cabinet has been reduced by one position, with Premier Burt taking on finance and transferring some of the economic and business responsibilities to Minister Hayward.
The notice — which you can read in full below – now lists Premier David Burt as the “Premier & Minister of Finance,” with areas under his portfolio including, but not limited to, the Bermuda Casino Gaming Commission, Bermuda Tourism Authority, Bermuda Monetary Authority, and Information & Digital Technologies.
It also lists Minister Jason Hayward as the “Minister of Economy and Labour,” with areas under his portfolio including, but not limited to, the Bermuda Business Development Agency, BEDC, Workforce Development, Immigration, Financial Assistance, Economic Development, and Statistics.
