Three Athletes Compete In Indoor Track Meets

Three Bermuda track and field athletes recently represented their universities at indoor meets.

Ryan Outerbridge

Ryan Outerbridge represented Franklin Pierce University men’s team at the 2022 Boston University Bruce Lehane Scarlet and White Invite.

Sophomore Outerbridge competed in the men’s 800m, finishing 62nd after clocking a time of 1:59.05.

Zekiah Lewis

Zekiah Lewis and her Quinnipiac indoor track and field teammates won the New England Championships at the Reggie Lewis Track & Athletic Center in Boston.

In the Women’s Long Jump, Lewis recorded a top leap of 4.94m to finish in 17th place.

Sakari Famous

Sakari Famous led the McNeese University women’s team at the LSU Bayou Bengal Indoor Meet.

Famous won the Women’s High Jump with a McNeese best height; she cleared 1.74m, an inch better than her previous McNeese best and one-inch shy of her all-time personal best.

Famous remains unbeaten on the season, winning the event in all three of her meet entries this season.
