Bermuda ILCA 6 Sailors Compete In USA & UK
A total of four local sailors are in action in Florida and England.
Benn Smith
Benn Smith headed into the third day of racing in third place with 8 points in the ILCA Midwinter’s East 2022 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Smith and the other sailors only managed one race on the day, Smith crossed the line 3rd and dropping his 4th place finish he came off the water still in 3rd place with 8 points.
Leader Daniel Escudero has 7 points, Chapman Petersen is in second with 7 points.
Nicole Stovell, Millie Lewis & Adrianna Penruddocke
Three out of the four Bermuda sailors began competing in the UKLA Noble Marine & Vaikobi ILCA 6, Qualifier 1 hosted by the Stokes Bay Sailing Club in England.
Nicole Stovell, Millie Lewis, and Adrianna Penruddocke all took to the water for the first three races of the regatta.
Penruddocke came off the water in 11th place with 36 points, this after finishes of 13th, 11th, and 12th, Stovell finished the day in 29th place with 105 points, she crossed the line 38th, 28th, and 29th and Lewis finished with 148 points, after finishes of 54th, 42nd, and 52nd, coming off the water in 51st place.
