Zeiko Lewis Makes Debut For Sacramento
Bermudian footballer Zeiko Lewis made his debut for the Sacramento Republic — coming on as a substitute in the second half — as they defeated El Paso Locomotive FC by a score of 3 – 1.
The club’s report said, “Late-game heroics sent Sacramento home with three points against El Paso Locomotive FC on opening night at Heart Health Park. An 85th minute score from Douglas Martinez and a 90th minute goal from Keko Gontan – their first in a Republic FC uniform – sealed the deal after a physical contest.”
The California based club signed him in December 2021, saying “Zeiko is a difference-maker with a proven ability to score and create chances” and “his competitive drive demands excellence from himself and his teammates, and we look forward to adding Zeiko to our attack.”
